Faber Range Hood Components

With over 50 years of experience in ventilation, Faber range hoods are made of high quality components that enhance the product design and function.

Aluminum Mesh Grease Filters

Faber aluminum grease filters capture over 90% of grease particles that would otherwise end up on your cabinetry.

Features

  • Multi-layered: Incorporates several layers positioned for maximum air flow while capturing grease.
  • Dishwasher safe: Wash as often as you wish with these sturdy filters that won’t rust or warp.
  • Tight fitting: For easy cleaning the filters fit tightly with the surrounding area.
  • Easy to remove: Spring loaded tabs release easily for quick removal
  • Highly styled: Faber’s insistence on aesthetics even applies to the grease filters.

Baffle Style Grease Filters

Faber's metal baffle grease filters are designed to force fumes and steam to suddenly change direction, the grease then separates from the air and filtered air passes into the range hood. They capture over 90% of grease particles that would otherwise end up on your cabinetry.

Features

  • Dishwasher safe: wash as often as you wish with these sturdy filters that won’t rust or warp
  • Tight fitting: for easy cleaning the filters fit tightly with the surrounding area
  • Easy to remove: simply twist and pull the baffle filter tab to release them easily
  • Highly styled: baffle filters are attractive and give a professional look to the range hoods

Halogen Lights

Long life halogen lighting is used in the majority of Faber range hoods (except the Cristal HC, Inca Smart and Agio).

These halogen lights illuminate your cooktop and give an upscale look to your ventilation and kitchen.

Silent Kit

Certain Faber hoods have pre-installed a silent kit, which is installed on either side of the blower within the hood. These black sponge-like pads absorb noise that comes off the motor and reduces the amount of perceived noise that is produced by the range hood.

In the case of the Velvet, Matrix and Orizzonte, the silent kit is hidden behind the perimetric suction panel where the air enters the range hood.

Silent kits reduce air noise by 25%.

Perimetric Suction System

This system is used on several Faber range hoods including the Matrix, Orizzonte Cylindra, Cylindra Isola and Velvet

Perimetric suction works efficiently by forcing air through the narrow slots on the ventilation panel, the air acquires speed thru the slots into the hood and then decreases speed once inside the larger surface inside the hood. This causes an area of low pressure underneath the panels, which in turn captures more air. This amazingly quiet perimetric suction system saves energy by improving extraction efficiency without increasing extraction capacity.

Since only narrow slots are required, the stainless panel remains both stunning and unobtrusive. Click here to see an illustrative picture further explaining perimetric suction.

Pro Motor

The PRO motor by Faber is found in the majority of Faber range hoods except the Agio, Inca Smart, Inca HC SS, Scirocco, Synthesis, Tender, Classica, Glassy, Glassy Isola, Gemma and any 300 cfm models.

The PRO motor is a 600 cfm capacity motor housed in metal. The motor has 2 all metal impellers (fan blades) on either side of the blower. The metal impellers work more efficiently and effectively at moving air, steam and odors than other motors.

Easy Cube

The Easy cube system is a metal housing that surrounds the PRO motor and allows easy mounting of the range hood to the wall or to an island. It makes wall mounting range hoods as easy as hanging a picture.

There are two eye slots in the back of the easy cube which are used to hang the hood on the wall (click here for photo).

These two slots can be adjusted up or down with a flat head screwdriver in order to make the range hood level on the wall (click here for photo).

If your range hood needs service, the easy cube helps make service easier. The motor housing can be removed from the easy cube without having to dismount your canopy range hood.

Stainless Steel Chimneys

Faber range hoods that are installed either in an island or on a wall have stainless steel chimneys included in the kitchen vent hood box.

The Integrated, Professional, and Built-In collection hoods do not come standard with chimneys in the box, all others do. These high quality 430 gauge stainless steel chimneys give an elegant and stylish look to any Faber hood. The chimneys are comprised of two pieces that telescope in and out of each other to accommodate different ceiling heights.

The average chimney can help reach ceiling heights of between 8 and 10 feet. For shorter ceilings, a stainless steel fabricator in your area can cut the chimneys.

For higher ceilings, look in the accessory section for high ceiling chimney kits.
